Meet Isabelle (also known as Iz) Conover, a freshman here at Washington College whose intended major is Studio Art. Iz is putting her creative mind to something that not only makes her happy, but will bring happiness to others as well. During a gap year in Paros, Greece, Iz studied at The Aegean Center for the Fine Arts. There, she was able to paint all of the time. Being at Washington College now, she knew she wouldn’t be able to do that and felt that she would explode without doing some form of art. Iz has found that she could use her talents to fulfill people’s love for stickers.
They’re something small and don’t take up a lot of time, but can release her creativity. This idea has allowed her to create a business for herself. Within the next month, the public will be able buy the stickers through her art Instagram @madebyiz. The stickers she will be selling are inspired by Washington College, Chestertown, and the Eastern Shore. Along with that, she will be turning her art doodles into stickers, doing commissions for tattoos, and selling some of her oil paintings. Check Iz out and support the arts!
