On October 3rd…

On October 3rd he asked me what day it was. That’s right Washington College, it’s October 3rd and you know what that means! It’s time to break out your best pink outfit and rejoice in Mean Girls references all day. The movie first hit theaters in 2004 and ever since October 3rd has been the most fetch day of the year. If you’re unsure of the significance of this specific date then you need to reevaluate how you’re spending your time on Netflix. As a refresher it’s the day that Cady and Aaron Samuels’ relationship really stepped it up, as he asked her the date and she replied, “It’s October 3rd”. Since then it’s been deemed National Mean Girls Day on social media.

Now if you’re looking for ultimate ways to celebrate this holiday I have a few suggestions. You could hit the Chestertown Taco Bell before starting your all-carb diet and then you’d rub peppermint foot lotion all over your face. Once you get back to WAC make sure to tell at least one person that their hair looks sexy pushed back, and if you can’t find anyone then eat alone in the Hodson bathrooms in Cady’s honor. One last insanely special thing that you can only do THIS October 3rd is buy tickets to see the new musical, Mean Girls, on Broadway!

Regardless of what you’re doing today make sure to take the time to soak up the awesomeness of Mean Girls either alone in a bathroom stall or with your own clique. Watch out for the Plastics and when you’re looking for somewhere to sit in D-Hall just remember you can’t sit with us! (kidding)
