A New Speaker and SGA Staff!

200w_d.gifTonight, Speaker of Senate Benjamin Fizer ’19 swore in the new Speaker of Senate Parakram Karki ’19. Karki was then able to swear in Melat Kiros ’19 as president and Brandon Gross ’20 as Vice President, and Review Board members Victoria Cline ’19, Ashlyn Gardner ’18, and Myssa Abusin ‘19. The Review Board will be conducting interviews for those who applied for various secretary positions this week. With a new semester fast approaching, so is a new SGA ready to tackle on the year. All the new officers are looking forward to a new year while bringing lots of new and exciting ideas to campus.

An exciting announcement to follow the new officers of SGA being sworn in, Dwight Schrute from Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in Scranton, Pennsylvania has agreed to be the new advisor for our Student Government Association. He has promised to aid the newly elected leaders with all his wisdom he tried to offer co-worker Jim Halpert. Schrute promises to encourage the newly elected officials to be professional and not at all like the scheming, unproductive, person that used to be his old co-worker Jim. He hopes that he will not see office supplies trapped in jello molds or move desks to various places in Hodson. The SGA is truly excited to have another great influencer on their team to get the new year off on a strong foot. Say hello to Goose Nation Dwight Schrute and welcome to Washington College! May the newly elected officials of SGA have a great, strong, and wonderful term!
