On Saturday November 19th, the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega are hosting their annual “Casino Night.” This event is part of their philanthropy and all the benefits go benefit the Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence. The event was planned by Emma Craig’18 who is their Philanthropy Chair. Tickets for the event are $5 for students as well as children and $10 adults. Personally, this charity means so much to me because I come from a domestic violent situation and the sisters of Alpha Chi to be doing something so wonderful really means a lot to me as well as other victims of domestic violence. Domestic violence is a terrible thing to experience and no one should ever go through something so terrible. Their mission to support victims of domestic violence is so heart-warming and amazing.
Many people who have attended this event have said wonderful things and have talked about how fun it is. Everyone comes out to support the Mid-Shore Council while playing various card games and socializing. Held in the Casey Academic Center, from 6pm-9pm, those over 21 can enjoy a cash bar while those under the age of 21 can enjoy light refreshments. Not only that, there are casino games, raffles, as well as a silent auction! Everyone who has the opportunity should go out and support this wonderful event because it impacts more people than you think. Seeing so much support for domestic violence victims makes me so happy. So please, go out and have a wonderful time!
