Yesterday, SEB hosted its first “Make your own Succulent” event. The event was in the Egg and was supposed to be from 1 to 3 but due to a high turn out the event ran out of succulents with in an hour! When I arrived around 1:15 the line for the event was out the door and soon after I got there they stopped letting people in. As I approached the table to pick up my succulent there were only a few left to choose from but I picked the one I liked best and was very happy! SEB had cute little containers, dirt, and stones the students could choose from and make their own pot for their succulent. Everyone who got to go looked like they were having a lot of fun and really enjoyed making their own pot for their plant.
Although the event ran out of free succulents to give away, it was still great! Now the SEB knows what to expect the next time they host this event and will be able to plan accordingly. Hopefully this won’t be the last event like this because it was a lot of fun and a really great idea. So be on the look out for the next SEB event and make sure to get there early!
