Position: Lifestyle Editor
Other jobs: RA of Queen Anne’s, Event Manager for Amnesty International
Major: Environmental Science, Economics
Favorite story you have done for the elm: Last year, I interviewed English professor, Dr. Gillin for a “Goose and Gander” article. While talking to him, he retold his love story, a story that had an improbable start. When he was a freshman in undergraduate college, he saw a girl across the room of the snack bar, and immediately knew he would marry her. Today, they are still happily married to each other.
Hardest thing about your position: Since I have my section has certain reoccurring columns (I.e. fitness, fashion, relationships), brainstorming new article ideas is difficult.
What do you like to do in your free time? When I’m not doing school work, I’m in the gym playing basketball or working out. Also, I read books on philosophy leisurely and write stupid poems.
Favorite food: French fries
Favorite thing about WAC: The trees, flowers, and plants that cover and surround our campus. I used to go to school smack dab in the city, so going outside and seeing the natural world is quite refreshing.
If you could have lunch with anyone who would it be? And where would you go?
I would go to a Chinese restaurant with rapper Childish Gambino.
Cats or dogs? Cats.
Anything else you want people to know about you! I respond to this all the time. Yes, I understand I look naturally confused, but no, I’m not lost, though I appreciate you asking.
Dan works hard on the Lifestyle section to keep the readers entertained and trying new things. Maybe you’ll see him in the gym and make sure to ask him for some helpful tips, I’m sure he would be glad to give you some!
