Year: Senior (graduating in December)
Position: Student Life section editor
Previous positions held: Staff writer
Other jobs: I work at the Lit House, I’m a copyeditor for The Collegian, and I’m a Website Communications assistant for Admissions.
Major: English with creative writing minor
Favorite story you have done for the elm: http://elm.washcoll.edu/index.php/2015/04/pups-compete-to-benefit-the-humane-society/
Hardest thing about your position: It’s hard to sell Student Life to new writers. Although it is a very fun section to write for, it is hard to describe. It is a medley of different things; although it is most similar to News, it is not News… It focuses more on human interest and feature pieces.
What do you like to do in your free time? I’m a big consumer of stories. I like to read and watch a lot of TV, shows, and movies.
Favorite food: Highly dependent on my mood, but I love Italian and Chinese food. Also, anything with sugar.
Favorite thing about WAC: I love that everyone is really passionate about what they do.
If you could have lunch with anyone who would it be? J.K. Rowling.
Cats or dogs? Dogs, but really any animal that can be loved.
