Happy First Day of Classes

11654_25Welcome back! I hope everyone is enjoying their first day of classes and are not too overwhelmed. A new school year comes with new and exciting things like new classes, a new place to live, and maybe even some new friends. For the freshmen everything is new, but it will soon feel like WAC is home. This feeling will come more quickly for others, but never fear because you will find what makes WAC home eventually.

The fall semester holds so many wonderful events that soon your email will be filled with more notifications than you will want to read. Make sure to pay attention to the SEB event calendar and The Elm so you don’t miss anything.

As you make your way through the rest of this first week try to have some fun, but don’t start procrastinating too early. Remember to get a jump on your work and stay organized. It may still feel like summer break but the harsh reality is that it is over. Professors are ready to get going and they don’t care if you are still in summer mode. So get your work done then go relax and enjoy the remainder of this warm weather.

It’s great to be back here at WAC and I can’t wait to enjoy this semester with my fellow Shoremen!
