Fall Break is Finally Here!

Fun-in-the-Fall-300x199Fall Break is a great time to escape from campus for a little while. Even if you stay on campus or only go home for a few days, it is nice to get a break from classes. This long weekend is a time to relax, recuperate, and spend time with family.

While you are home, do not forget to do a few key things. Bring home all your laundry so you can have it washed for free. There is nothing better than finally getting rid of all of that dirty laundry you have been piling up. After doing your laundry, find all those comfy sweaters that you left at home. The weather is about to get a lot colder and this is the perfect time to switch out your wardrobe. Be sure to spend time with your friends and family. It is important to reconnect with people you have not seen in a while and tell them all about how school is going. While you are reconnecting, do not forget to spend quality time with your pets. They probably miss you a lot more than you miss them! When I asked Ian Flinn’16 for suggestions, he said, “Get a lot of Pumpkin Spice Lattes and admire the changing of the leaves.” Finally, take advantage of shopping opportunities. When your parents go to the grocery store, stock up on snacks and good food for your dorm. Do not forget to make a stop at Walmart or Target and get decorations and costume materials for Halloween.

Overall, be sure to enjoy your Fall Break. Take advantage of the extra time you have, whether you are sleeping, watching movies, or hanging out with your family. Give your mind a break from school for a few days and enjoy!
