Go Green For Arthritis

IMG_2299Help out the sisters of Alpha Omicron Pi by going green this week for juvenile arthritis. This week AOII will be hosting events to raise money and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation. According to the Foundation’s website, Juvenile Arthritis affects approximately 300,000 children under the age of 16 in the United States. These children can have different types of arthritis, but common symptoms include pain and joint swelling. By raising money and awareness you can help expand the treatment of arthritis in children.

Today the sister of AOII kicked off their “Green Week” with a 50/50 raffle in Hodson. The winner of the raffle will be announced on Saturday at the “AOII Pig Out”. Join them tomorrow in Hodson from 11AM to 1PM to make cards for children who have arthritis. On Wednesday come out to Martha Washington Square for one of the AOII’s most famous fundraisers, Pie in the Face. For just $1 you may pie any sister in the face! This event will be from 11AM to 1PM, so come stop by on your way to class. The sisters will also be hosting a free “Joints in Motion” yoga class. Come to the dance studio on Friday from 4PM to 5PM and get your joints moving! Finally on Saturday join the sisters for a “pig out” on the Hodson Green from 11AM to 1PM. For a minimum donation of $3 you can enjoy a pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, and lemonade. Also at the pig out you can pick up your “Green Week” shirts that you can reserve throughout the week at each event.

Hopefully you can come support the sisters of AOII and help raise money for this great cause!
