Surviving The Rest Of The Semester

Back to school blogAfter a nice long break it seems difficult to get back into the swing of things. Spring is in the air and it is more important to be outside, rather than focusing on class work. If you went somewhere warm for Spring Break it is probably even harder to focus; you are most likely imagining warm sand between your toes while you daydream in class. Even if you just went home for break, it can still be hard to adjust back to the academic lifestyle. The weather is getting warmer and the sun is shinning for much longer (thanks to daylight savings time). Summer is getting closer and class work is the last thing on many peoples’ minds. Not only is the weather improving, but also there are many fun events coming up! How can anyone focus on school when there are so many things to look forward to? How is it possible that there are seven more weeks of classes? How can we be expected to make it through the rest of the year?

It may be difficult to stay on track for the rest of the semester, but with a little bit of organization it will be possible! First of all, it is important to take each week as it comes. Try not to stress about things in the future that you have no control over. Be organized and plan out everything you have to do, so that way you know when you can have fun! Utilize the nice weather and do your work outside by the library or even down by the waterfront. Use the beautiful weather as a catalyst for creative ideas and productivity!

There might be a long and tedious road ahead, but the end result will be worth it! So just keep your spirits high and we will all get though the rest of the semester together!
